The iPhone 7 got released last week and this week we've been dealing with initial impression stories. Whining coils, scratch tests, home buttons inoperable with gloves on, Intel chips inside - the sort of things no keynote prepares you for.
Then there was the curious issue of the shuffle button gone missing on iOS 10's Music app (hint: it's not missing, just hiding). And for the anarchists out there - the iPhone7 has already been jailbroken.
With the iPhone 7 already out, the focus is gradually shifting towards the next big thing in the industry - the Google Pixel smartphones launch. Officially coming on October 4, the Pixel and Pixel XL should usher in Android 7.1 and come with IP53 certification and revised chipsets. The occasional photograph of the Nexus descendants could also be spotted this week.
Meanwhile, Microsoft announced the Nokia 216 feature phone - yes, Microsoft still makes those, but this could very well be the last one. HTC, on the other hand, unveiled the Desire 10 Pro and Desire 10 Lifestyle - same striking looks, different innards (though what's with the Snapdragon 400 in the Lifestyle?).
Read the details on these topics below, as well as some other stories from the past week.
Two separate versions for both the Pixel and Pixel XL were certified. And it seems they will come with revised versions of Snapdragon 820 and Android Nougat.

Before you watch the video below, do this little exercise. If you have an iPhone around running the latest iOS 10, open the Music app and try to find the Shuffle or Repeat player. If you manage to fin...
Mediatek P10, 20MP primary camera, FullHD 5.5-inch display for the Pro, Snapdragon 400 for the Lifestyle (uhm, what year is it?).
The phone lacks the widely rumored 8GB RAM option, but still offers a cutting-edge specs configuration.
It also confirms the Snapdragon 821 chipset and shows MIUI on Android 7.0 Nougat. Assuming it's real, of course.
